As you glide through Portsmouth Harbor, you will see a unique working port with tugboats, tankers, the nation’s oldest and active naval yard, the closed castle-like prison- “the Alcatraz of the East”, our quaint Olde Port waterfront, a famous grand resort hotel, 5 historic forts and 3 lighthouses proudly guiding mariners safely through our waters. Check out our state-of-the-art Touch Tank brought to you by the Blue Ocean Society before and after you board for an up close look at marine life!

In addition to the Historic Isles of Shoals & Portsmouth Harbor Tour, students and chaperones alike can experience Star Island and the rest of the Isles of Shoals with a Star Island Walking Tour provided by our own NH Historian! The cruise includes all the highlights and features of the Isles of Shoals Tour with the added benefit of exploring the historically-enriched Star Island for a brief 45 minute walking tour.
