May 28 2012: 09:25 AM - 01:15 PM

In addition to our famous Isles of Shoals & Portsmouth Harbor Tour this tour allows our guests to explore and visit the aforementioned Star Island for a brief walking excursion.

Be a part of one of the most infamous and historically enriched islands New England has to offer as our vessel, the M/V Thomas Laighton sets sails to Star Island all summer on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:25 A.M. and returning at 1:15 P.M.

Star Island is one of the 9 islands located within the Isles of Shoals that is home to numerous historical landmarks and sights. Many visitors enjoy sitting along the coastline listening to the sounds of the ocean, soaking in the beautiful view of lively Gosport Harbor, the White Island Lighthouse, and the surrounding islands.

Guests of the island also enjoy watching the working and leisure boats that make use of this magnificent harbor. Children particularly enjoy "treasure hunting" on the beaches and viewing the glacier carved rock cliffs that were shaped thousands of years ago. Families have the ability to sunbathe and swim, enjoy an ice cream from the gift shop, and explore the reconstructed "Gosport Village" (a replica of the old fishing village that once stood on the same site.)
